History

Lakshmi NYC was originally created by Jo Hook, and has researched and manufactured three fragrances since the year 2000.

Lakshmi, Parvati, Isis, Saraswati and Athena are made with natural and essential oils, so they are gentle on the nose and skin. They provide an alternative to the common alcohol and water based perfume.

The company's focus is sustainability, and 10 percent of all profits go to charity.

In 2006, Jacki Belanoff Smith was announced as the new CEO of Lakshmi NYC and eventually bought the company in 2009. She has continued in Jo's footstep striving to develop outstanding quality products that smell unique and delicious, that are calming to the soul, and are environmentally friendly and cruelty free.
